Minerva Alberts was the fourth child of twelve children born to James Earl Alberts and Phalby Sara Cooper. She like her sisters and brothers grew up in Lee County Texas on the 50 acher peanut farm owned by their parents. All the children helped work the peanut farm. The Alberts' family peanut brittle and roasted peanuts were famous around central Texas. In 1933 she married Daniel Shelby. Three children were born to this union; Ardie Mae, Rebecca, and Charles Henry all enjoyed the same life as their parents. When her children grew the family relocated to Fort Worth, Texas. She was preceded in death by her brothers James Jr., Morty Buster, and Fred Odell. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Daniel Shelby, her children, Rebecca, Ardie Mae, and Charles Henry, her brothers Chatman, Daniel, Moses, Henry, Amos, and sisters Mary, Ursula, and Priscilla; also, neices, nephews, cousins and friends.
