Ersie Elnora Shelby was the youngest of five children born to Minerua Alberts and Daniel Shelby. She and her sisters and brothers were all raised in Lee County on the same land that had belonged to her mother's family. She was preceeded in death by her parents, Daniel and Minerua Shelby. She leaves to mourn her passing her sisters Rebecca, Willie Mae, and Ardie, and her brother Charles Henry. Also mourning her loss were her neices, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
