Amos Leon Alberts was the youngest child of twelve children born to James Earl Alberts and Phalby Sara Cooper. Amos like his sisters and brothers grew up in Cental Texas on his family's peanut farm. The Alberts' peanuts and peanut brittle was famous in all the surrounding communities. In 1956 he married Shirley Lee Thomas. Two children were born to this union. Douglas Eugene and Gloria Denise both began life in Central Texas. In 1965 Amos moved his family to Los Angeles Calfornia. Amos passed away in 1989 leaving his family to mourn his loss. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Earl and Phalby Sara Alberts, his brothers, Fred Odell, James Earl Jr, Chatman, and Henry; and his siters, Mary, Ursula, Minerva, and Priscilla. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Shirle Lee, his children Douglas (Iras), Gloria (Dennis), his brothers, Dan and Moses, and neices, nephews, cousins, and friends.
