SARAH JANE CURRY
OREGON CITY -- Sarah Jane Curry, late of route 1, box 521 Central Point Road, Oregon City, died at her home Saturday morning where she had lived for the last 19 years, following a long illness.
Mrs. Curry was born on January 7, 1863 at Oregon City to pioneer parents Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Marrs. She attended school at the Oregon City Seminary and was married in 1890. Mr. Curry died in 1918. She was a member of the Auxiliary of the Foreign Wars and the Willamette Rebekahs No. 2.
Survivors include six sons and two daughters, Frank, Homer and Ernest all of route 1, Oregon City; Charles, Oregon City; Warren, Portland; Luther, Gladstone; Mrs. Bertha White, Hubbard; Miss Florence Curry, route 1; a sister and a brother, Mrs. Lulu Whiteman, Oregon City; Charles Marrs, Seattle, Wash.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Rev. Horace Bachelder will officiate at the 11 a.m. service Wednesday at the Holman-Hankins-Rilance Funeral Home in Oregon City with the Willamette Rebekah Lodge No. 2 participating. Internment will follow in the family plot located in the IOOF Section of Mt. View Cemetery.
