MISS ROSETTA MARRS PASSES AT LEBANON
Miss Rosetta (Rose) Marrs, well known in Oregon City where she spent her life except for the past four years while residing with her niece, Mrs. Hugh Croner (Evelyn Whiteman) at Lebanon, died Saturday evening at the Lebanon General Hospital following a three days illness.
Miss Marrs, daughter of the late Samuel and Mrs. Rebecca Marrs, early Oregon City pioneers, was born in Oregon City. For a number of years she was employed in the store of the late L. Adams, also in the C.C. Store for several years. She was a member of Willamette Rebekah Lodge; Artisan Lodge and also a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Oregon City.
Miss Marrs is survived by her sisters, Mrs. Sarah Jane Curry, Mrs. Fannie Lutke, Mrs. Thomas Smith, Mrs. Martha Berry, Mrs. Frank (Lulu) Whiteman, Oregon City, Mrs.Edward (Georgia) Henry, Oregon City; a brother, Charles Marrs, Seattle, Wash.; besides 11 nephews, eight nieces, five grand-nieces and two grand-nephews.
The funeral services are to be held at the Holman-Hankins-Rilance Chapel Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with Rev. Roy W. Achor, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, officiating. Internment will be in the family lot at Mt. View Cemetery.
The body is at the Oregon City Funeral Home.
