HERMAN CURRY, WAR VETERAN, SUCCUMBS

Herman M. Curry, 34, World War Veteran, died Sunday night at the United States Veterans Hospital after a long illness. He was disabled during the war while serving in the Navy. He had been in the hospital about three weeks.

Mr. Curry, who was unmarried, was born January 22, 1897, in Lane County, Oregon, the son of William and Sarah Curry. He was the fourth child in the family. His father died several years ago. For some time following his return from the service, Herman Curry was employed as fireman in the Crown Willamette Paper Company. He was forced to give up his work in 1924 on account of his health.

He was a member of Waldo Caufield post No. 1324, Veterans of the Foreign Wars; Willamette Rebekah Lodge No. 2 and Oregon No. 2 I.O.O.F.

Besides his mother, he is survived by nine brothers and sisters--Frank, Homer, Ayron, Charles, Warren, Luther, Ernest, Florence and Bertha Curry, all of Oregon City.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:30 o'clock from the chapel of Holman & Pace. Rev. J. A. Cleland, rector of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, officiating. The Odd Fellows will have charge. Internment will be in the Odd Fellows plot in Mountain View Cemetery. Graveside rites will be in the care of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
