LUTHER MARRS CURRY
Luther Marrs Curry of Gladstone died of congestive heart failure Friday in a Salem hospital. He was 83.
At his request, no service will be held, however there will be a visitation from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday, in Portland Memorial Funeral Home. Entombment will be in Portland Memorial Mausoleum.
He was born June 18, 1905, in Corallis. Mr. Curry moved to Oregon City with his family at age 10 and graduated from Oregon City High School. He worked for the shipyards during World War II. Mr. Curry was a boiler fireman for Dwyer Lumber Co. from 1946 until he retired in 1970.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth A.; son, Luther, Jr. of Tri-Cities, Wash.; daughters, Sharon Wade of Milwaukie and Virginia Wood of Springfield; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
