Carl Thorson died at the hospital at Fergus Falls Friday after having suffered for over sixteen weeks from cancer of the spine. Mr. Thorson was born and raised in Moe township and has been engaged in farming until up to the time of his ill health.
Mr. Thorson is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lars Thorson of this place. He is survived by three children, Lloyd, Arthur and Zerena. His wife was laid to rest about ten years ago. Besides his parents and children, the following brothers and sisters mourn his untimely death: Arthur of Henning, Oscar of Minneapolis, Minnie and Lorenza of Minneapolis, Mrs. E. Smestad of Evansville, Mrs. Ole Arntson of Moe, Agnes and Lillian of Alexandria and Mrs. Hans Helgeson of LaGrand, Martin of Moe.
He was laid to rest at the East Moe cemetery, Rev. E. Livingston and Rev. H. A. B. Winther officiating. Services were conducted at the Chippewa Free Church of Brandon. The pallbearers were Oscar Larson, Lewis Foslien, Hans Helgeson, Henry Severson, Elmer Smedstad and Peter Stuberg.
