Louise Anelia Arntson was born in Moe township, Douglas county on January 25, 1885, the daughter of Lars and Anne Thorson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Chippewa Lutheran church, grew to womanhood in Moe township. On May 11, 1905 she was united in marriage to Ole Arntson at the West Moe Lutheran church. They retired from active farming in 1960 and for the past four years had made their home in Alexandria.

Mrs. Arntson died Saturday, Oct. 24, 1964 at the Knute Nelson Memorial Home at the age of 79 years, 8 months and 29 days. Surviving her are her husband, Ole; three sons and one daughter: Oliver and Newton of Garfield, Arnold of Alexandria and Doris (Mrs. Edda Essinsa) of Seattle, Wash. Also surviving are three sisters: Miss Minnie Thorson of Minneapolis, Lorenza (Ms. Meyer Skrove) of Alexandria and Lillian (Mrs. Carl Scherer) of Brandon; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two daughters.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Oct. 28, 1964 at 2 p.m. from West Moe Lutheran church, Moe township, Rev. A. T. Tjornhom of Fergus Falls officiated. Interment was in the West Moe cemetery. Pallbearers were Conrad Hanson, Phillip Johnson, Clifford Johnson, Donald Syverson, Alfred Walstead and Irvin Walstead.
