Stella Gertrude Carter, 92, of Honey Grove, died Saturday morning, Mary 27, 1995 at McCuistion Regional Medical Center in Paris.

Funeral services for Mrs. Carter were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 29, 1995 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Chapel in Honey Grove. Rev. Greg Faulls, pastor of First Baptist Church in Honey Grove, officiated at the service. Interment was made in Oakwood Cemetery in Honey Grove with Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Grandsons served as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers were grandsons and great-grandsons.

Mrs. Carter was born on March 22, 1903 in Cherokee, Alabama, the daughter of William Henry Bevis and Mary Ella Reagan Bevis.

She married Albert Marion Carter Sr. on December 15, 1923 in Honey Grove. He preceded her in death on June 25, 1987.

She was a homemaker and a member of McCraw's Chapel Methodist Church.

Survivors include four daughters: Martha Inez Patterson of Fairfield, Dorothy Mozelle Norris of Commerce, Lorene Waller of Mesquite, and Gladys Stevenson of Irving; three sons, Roy Bevis Carter of Rockwall, Albert Marion Carter Jr. of Garland, and Aubrey Lynn Carter of Wichita Falls; twelve grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.
