Funeral services were held Saturday, April 26, 1997 at 11:00 a.m. at Pemberton Funeral Chapel in Commerce with Rev. Charles Stricklin officiating. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery in Honey Grove.
Pallbearers were Steve Stevenson, Arthur Carter, Perry Carter, Jo Roberton, Marc McDaniel and David Hindman.
Honorary Pallbearer was Stuart Melhime.
Mrs. Norris was born in Honey Grove, Texas, October 10, 1926 a daughter of Albert Marion Carter and Stella G. Bevis.
She married H. B. Norris in Grant, Oklahoma on March 5, 1944.
Mrs. Norris had lived in Commerce for the past eleven years. She moved from Paris annd previously lived in Plano for twenty two years. She was a member of the Miller Road Baptist Church in Garland and was baptized in 1951. She was formerly employed with Safeway as a clerk for eight years. Mrs. Norris enjoyed gardening and yard work and loved cooking. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, H. B. Norris of Commerce; Daughter and son-in-law, Shirley Annette and Glen David Lobb of Lancaster; son, Jimmy Lynn Norris of Dallas, three sisters, Inez Patterson of Tira, Lorene Waller of Mesquite, Gladys Stevenson of Irving; three brothers, Roy B. Carter of Rockwall, Albert marion Carter Jr. of Garland, Aubrey Lynn Carter of Wichita Falls, one grandson, David Wayne Bone of Commerce, two great grandchildren, Derek Wayne Bone and Brittany Reane Bone.
