Hattie Lorene Waller, age 85, passed away on January 24, 2018 in Mesquite, Texas. She was born on October 7, 1932 in Honey Grove, Texas to Albert and Stella Carter. Hattie Lorene was raised in Honey Grove, Texas and graduated from Honey Grove High School in 1950. She married Vernon Lee Waller in 1964 and the couple had six children. She was a devoted housewife who loved raising her family.

In her spare time Hattie Lorene enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She loved going to the country and western concerts, especially George Jones and Alan Jackson. She loved to paint, and she also loved her puppies: Harley, Shadow, and Max.

Her family and friends will always remember her as a nurturing mother with a great sense of humor and who would sacrifice anything for her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband Vernon Lee Waller; her parents Albert and Stella Carter; her sisters Mozel Norris, and Martha Inez Jones; and her brothers Roy Carter, and Albert Marion Carter Jr; and stepson Randy Waller.

Hattie Lorene is survived by her daughters Linda R. Menasco and husband Gary, Deborah M. Jones, and Beverly Roberts and husband Paul; her stepson Johnny Waller; her stepdaughter Sue Windom; and her grandchildren Paul Ray Jones, Jason Lee Carden, Jeffrey Michael Allen, Ryan Douglas Roberts, and Bryan Chase Roberts, Todd Pavelka, Chris Pavelka, and Christi Wilmany; and her great-grandchildren
