I was born in 1946 in the small riverside village of Farran's Point, Ontario,Canada located along the St. Lawrence River in the County of Stormont.
In 1958 nine villages (including Farran's Point) were permanently flooded (St. Lawrence Seaway Power Project)and residents of those villages were relocated to the new communities of Long Sault and Ingleside.
FAG is a great site. I am thrilled to have found it.
Been researching the history of my family as well as other families for 20 years.
If you find a Memorial of a relative of yours that was added by me and would like it transferred to you, just say so. No problem.
Websites I have found to be helpful are: CanadaGenWeb's Cemetery Project... Billion Graves...1921 Canadian Census Ancestry...Rootsweb World Connect Project...Canadian Headstones...1851, 1852, 1861, 1881, 1891, 1901 and 1911 Canada Census, Immigrant Ships Transcriber's Guild to name a few.
