I wish I had listened then. When you began those long old stories, I was bored and ran outdoors to play; or, older, tactfully drew the talk away to light immediate things... and all the while your generation lay, behind your baffled eyes and wistful speech, groping toward mine: and I can never reach it now. Please don't hoard family history info or photos. Many other people are also descendants/relatives/friends and they too would enjoy the photos and information. If you have photos, notes, newspaper clippings, etc. in your possession, please share. You never know the comfort someone might receive by finding the grave of an ancestor, old friend or neighbour, reading a little about them, and seeing a picture of their face.
