Thank you for remembering Newt. Your visit of remembrance is so thoughtful. God bless.

༻✿ Newton Agustine Powell was the son of William and Cora Heare Powell, born October 25, 1898.

Newton married Mable Boland who truly loved him and she was a good woman. Newton did accomplish something good in his life through his marriage to Mable: They had two children, mostly due to the mothering of Mable.

Known children of Newton and Mable Boland Powell were :

1) William James "Bill" Powell, born May 4, 1923 in Springfield, Clark County, Ohio, USA; death May 1, 2007 in Springfield, Clark County, Ohio, USA. William married Catherine Geraldine "Gerri" Moore Powell on April 26, 1947 in Clark County, Ohio, USA. No known children.

2)Elizabeth Lu"Betty" Powell. She married Harold Robert Eakman December 14, 1944 in Clark County, Ohio, USA. On the marriage record Harold's last name is misspelled as Eskman.

Known children of Harold and Betty Powell Eakman:

A) James Robert Eakman, born in Springfield, Ohio, Clark County, passed away in 2014.

B) Edward Eakman, born in Springfield, Ohio, Clark County.

This is all the information we have concerning Newton Powell.

Uncle Newt's wife Mable saw something wonderful in Newton. Perhaps through her love she was able to bring this out in Newton for everyone to see before he passed. I'm sure there was something wonderful in him. I can only hope it finally came out to shine for all to see.

May he rest in peace with God.
