Born November 18, 1917, in Oxford Township, Adams County, she was the daughter of the late Peter J. and Annie M. (Lawrence) Long.
Florence was a member of Sacred Heart Basilica, Edgegrove. She was a retired seamstress and enjoyed quilting and crocheting, and especially enjoyed cooking for her family and friends.
Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Mary T. Miller, Agnes G. Long, Mildred Groft, and Ruth Long; and five brothers, James L. Long, George H. Long. Jerome F. Long, Leo Long, and Charles Long.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. September 17, 2012, at Sacred Heart Basilica in Edgegrove, with the Rev. Lawrence J. McNeil officiating. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Edgegrove.
