Miss Agnes G. Long, 69, of Hanover R. 4, died Monday evening at 8:25 p.m. Hanover General Hospital. She was a patient one day.

Born in Oxford Township she was the daughter of the late Peter J. and Annie M. Lawrence Long. She was a member of Sacred Heart Basilica in Edgegrove, a member of National Council of Catholic Women, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Irishtown Fire Company and a member of Omega Tau. She was a housekeeper for 15 years at Sacred Heart Basilica.

She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Florence C. Smith of New Oxford R. 3, Mrs Mary T. Miller of York and one Brother, Jerome F. Long of Frederick Street in Hanover; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, meeting at the Hicks Funeral Home in McSherrystown at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Basilica at 10 a.m. Msgr. George W. Roat and Monsignor Thomas J.McGough will be celebrants. Burial will be held in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call the funeral home Wednesday evening with prayers at 8 p.m.
