Marjorie Henrietta Jones was born 10 April 1907 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the third of seven children of Richard William Jones (1873-1952) and Isabel Pratt Jones (1877-1954), their oldest daughter. She married John Pitts (1905-1958) on 29 May 1928 in Minneapolis. They resided first in Arizona, then to Colorado by 1930, and in 1932 they relocated to Pomona, California and remained until his death in February 1958. They had no children. She moved back to Minneapolis to be close to her brothers and sisters for the rest of her life. She died in Edina, MN on 27 September 1985 at the age of 78.
