Hazel Isabel Jones was born (along with her first-born twin sister Helen) on 19 December 1912 in Minneapolis, MN, the second of twins and sixth child of Richard William Jones (1873-1952) and Isabel Shear Pratt Jones (1877-1954). She was married to James Clinton "Jim" Ford (1914-1998) on 29 November 1933 in Minneapolis, MN. They had two children: Beverly Ann [Ramstad] (b.1934) and James Clinton "Jim" Ford Jr. (b.1935). A third child died shortly after birth in December 1938. Grandma Hazel was a gentle soul who loved young children, especially her own, her grand and great-grandchildren! She and Jim were married just shy of 65 years when he passed away in 1998. She joined him seven years later when she died on 23 September 2005 in Duluth, MN at the age of 92. They are interred at Glen Haven Memorial Garden in Crystal, MN.

Hazel Isabel Ford (nee Jones) died Friday, September 23, 2005 in the home of her daughter in Duluth, MN, at the age of 92. She was born December 19, 1912 in Minneapolis and attended school there. Preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, James C. Ford; grandson Paul Ford; son-in-law Peter Ramstad; and her brothers and sisters. Survived by son, James (Louise) Ford; daughter, Beverly Ramstad; 7 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Hazel was a wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother, family being the primary focus of her life. She worked at Sears Roebuck for many years. She was a former member of Lyndale Congregational Church and current member of Emerson United Church of Christ in Richfield and attended Hillside United Methodist Church while living in Duluth. Private interment, Glen Haven Cemetery.
Memorial service 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 28th at Emerson United Church of Christ, 7601 Girard Avenue South, Richfield, MN. Memorials preferred to the church. Visitation Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at Washburn-McReavy Edina Chapel, W. 50th Street at Highway 100, # 952-920-3996.
