Aimee is the wife of the late Edwin Place Bligh and the mother of the late Evelyn Marie (Bligh) Hayes. She is survived by her son Edwin P. Bligh of Alpharetta, Georgia.

Addtiionally she is the daughter of the late Alfred & Marie Louise (Tardif) Bernier. She was born in Fall River, Massachusetts and was one of 15 children.

She was well known from her work at the Massachusetts Historical Society in Boston, MA was she was employed as a library clerk. She was also well known for having the ability to find old books in the stacks, without the use of reference cards.

She lived on Commonwealth Avenue in Brighton, then Boston Bay Back, then Brookline, North Andover, North Reading, Stoneham. In 2000 she relocated to Tiverton, RI, Swansea, MA and then reutrned to her hometown of Fall River as a resident of the Jewish Nursing Home, where she received exceptional care in her final years.

Besides her son, she is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

To celebrate the life of Aimee, a Memorial Mass is being planned for April/May 2011 in the greater Fall River area.
