Mrs. Jeanne Rita (Bernier) Friery, of 17 Taylor Street, widow of John H. Friery, Jr. died yesterday after a long illness.

Born here, daughter of the late Alfred and the late Marie Louise (Tardif) Bernier, she had resided in this city all her life.

She is survived by a son, William M. Friery of the U.S, Air Force, stationed in Fort Meade, MD; five sisters, Mrs. Florence Powers, Mrs. Cecile Foley, Mrs. Guy (Louise) Barnes and Mrs. Lucille Reed all of this city, and Mrs Aimee Bligh of Boston, MA; and several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral was held on a Friday morning from the Boule Funeral Home, 651 Braodway, with a high mass of requiem in St. Joseph's Church at 9 AM. Interment was in St. Patrick's Cemetery.

She was the grandaughter of the late Stanislaus & Malvina (Gagnon) Bernier.

She was one of 15 children. Many of her sisters and brothers lived but a short time. They are buried in family plots of her parents and grandparents.
