As of today I am no longer a photo volunteer. In addition, I am no longer able to honor suggested edits, transfer requests, etc..
I take these steps in opposition to the NEW Find-A-Grave site about to be released. This new site is nothing more than a desecration of each and every memorial of our loved ones by splattering the memorials with ads. It is more than obvious that the owners and managers of this NEW site put money before memorial.
I can not help think how we would feel, when visiting an actual grave to see commercial ads next grave stones in our cemeteries. I realize that the site is free, but F.A.G. has now lost it's true calling. Should the old format be saved? YES! They can add security, uploads, etc. in the background, keeping the old memorial layout. The new system has so many bugs in it. It can not even accept many cemeteries, birth and death locations we know to be valid. Should this NEW site go live as planned it will be an offense to many and will result in many duplicates, errors, omissions - all due to a system that was poorly designed.
