Milton Barron McKay was a younger son of Ira Zeno McKay and Delilah Marble, born in Claiborne County, Mississippi. Milton joked a lot and often teased his younger sister, Floy. He and his siblings attended Sarepta School, located behind the Sarepta Church, near Hermanville (and old Brandywine), Claiborne, Mississippi.

Milton served in the U.S. Navy, listed as "Chief Pharm." He and his family lived in Haiti for a time. Milton was called "Cap'N Mac" which was shown in the corner of his tombstone & he was also called "Mac" by his nephew, Charles.

His son, John Barron McKay was a renowned pilot for the X-15, during the early space program of the 1960's and more about him is linked here to this son's site.
