Eugene and Maria met and were married about 1875. By 1880, they had two children, Mary Elizabeth Faunce and David P. Faunce. Mary was born in May 1878. She married, had children and died at the age of 58. David only lived 8 months and was buried in Palmer Cemetery in Philadelphia. At this time, the family were living at 1110 Ash Street which is located close to and north of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge.
While they were living on Ash Street, my grandmother, Ella May Faunce, was born on Feb 1 1882. Their second son, Eugene Walter Faunce was born in Oct 1884. He also did not live long and died on Apr 22 1885 and was buried in Bellevue Cemetery in Philadelphia.
By 1895, my great grandparents were divorced.
In 1910, Eugene Faunce was living as a border at 1245 Fletcher Street and was employed as a laborer in a stove factory. He died on Mar 18 1912 and was buried in Palmer Cemetery.
