Mrs. Jos. Linn Died Last Friday

The angel of death gathered Mrs. Jos. Linn into the fold last Friday morning, after a long lingering illness in a Minneapolis hospital. Although in middle life, 48 years old, she was afflicted with an incurable malady that caused her intense suffering, hence her death came as a last earthly reward to a good woman.
Mrs. Jos. Linn was born May 21, 1889 at Chaska, Minn., Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christian Mayer. Her childhood was spent at Chaska, moving later to New Prague with her parents where she was married to Joseph Linn, Oct. 5, 1915. The couple resided on a farm near St. Joe until moving to Jordan, several years ago. To this union were born three sons and one daughter, the latter dying in infancy. Deceased was always a kind and loving mother and deeply concerned about the welfare of others, even in her own last suffering.
Mrs. Linn is survived by her husband and sons Leonard and Raymond of Jordan and Leander of Lakeville. She is also survived by her aged mother, Mrs. Chris Mayer of New Prague, three sisters, Mrs. Frances Huff of Kilkenny, Mrs. Hubert Roehl of Minneapolis and Miss Stacia Mayer of New Prague and three brothers, P.J. Mayer of Minneapolis and L.H. and A.F. Mayer of New Prague.
Funeral services were conducted Monday morning at 9:30 by Rev. Father Peter at St. John's church at Jordan. Burial was in St. Joseph's Cemetery beside her daughter who preceded her to the grave in 1925.
Six nephews acted as pallbearers, they being Theo. Linn, Wm. Linn, Sylvester Linn, Norbert Busch, Meinrad Busch and Theo. Hilgers.
