She was born March 15, 1925, in Durham, a daughter of Howard S. and Hazel M. Barnard Boyer. She married James D. Henson Aug. 15, 1942, in Kahoka, Mo. He died Dec. 24, 1983.
Mrs. Henson was a member of Adrian Christian Church, Macomb American Legion Post 6, Auxiliary, Augusta Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9029, Auxiliary and the Thrifty Fingers Club of Plymouth. She was a member and past Worthy Matron of Augusta Chapter 378 Order of the Eastern Star and a Past Mother Advisor of Rainbow Assembly 90 of Plymouth.
Survivors include a son, John Henson of Augusta; two daughters Mrs. Roger (Connie) Breeden of Loraine and Mrs. Richard (Rose Ann) Carle of Chilicothe; a step-daughter Andrea Arnold of Dallas City; five brothers, Vernon and William Boyer, both of Ferris, Leon and Hubert Boyer, both of Adrian, and James Boyer of Carthage; three sisters, Thelma Pirtle and Wilda Neal, both of Washington, Ill. and Helen Overlander of Menson; 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant grandson.Services will be conducted at 2 P.M. Friday in the Hamilton Funeral Home in Plymouth by Charles Ferguson .Burial will be in Moss Ridge Cemetery in Carthage.Family will meet friends 6-8 Thursday in the funeral home. Augusta Chapter 378 Order of Eastern Star will conduct star rites at 7:30 P.M. Thursday in the funeral home.
