Funeral services for Howard Boyer, 84, Adrian, will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday in the Neiser Funeral Home in Carthage with the Rev. E.E. Skiles officiating. Burial will be in Moss Ridge Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be made to the Augusta Shelter Care Home.
Mrs. Boyer died Sunday night, March 18, 1979, in Memorial Hospital in Carthage.
He was born Jan. 14, 1895, in Green Valley, a son of William and Addie Woodworth Boyer. He married Hazel Barnard April 26, 1913, in Ft. Madison, IA. She died in 1971. He was a member of the Adrian Christian Church.
Surviving are five sons, Vernon of Ferris, Hubert and Leon of Adrian and William and James of Carthage; four daughters; Mrs. Charles (Thelma) Pirtle of Washington, Ill., Mrs. Edwin (Wilda) Neal of East Peoria, Mrs Herbert (Helen) Overlander of Mendon, Mrs. James (Betty) Henson of Plymouth; 27 grandchildren; 52 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; two brothers Harley of Carthage and Wilbert of Long Beach, Calif.; and two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Seigfreeid of Adrian and Mrs. Hattie Schilson of Hamilton.
