Wilda T. Neal, 101, of Washington, passed away at 2 a.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Select Post Acute Care in Eureka.
She was born March 5, 1916 in Adrian, IL to Howard and Hazel Barnard Boyer. She married Edwin Neal in Kahoka, MO on March 12, 1934. He preceded her in death in 1993. She was also preceded in death by her parents; three sisters and four brothers.
Surviving are two children, James (Shirley) Neal of Havana, Janice Volk of Washington; three grandchildren, Ed, Craig, and Pat Neal; nine great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Billy (Betty) Boyer of Carthage.
She co-owned Neal’s Laundromat in Sunnyland for many years.
Wilda was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Clover Leaf Chapter, and was a charter member of Sunnyland Christian Church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Sunnyland Christian Church.
A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon Friday, March 24, 2017 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington with Rev. Evan Williams officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Friday at the funeral home from 11a.m. to 12 Noon. Burial will be at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
