Mrs. Nell E. George

Mrs. Nell E. George, 80, of 1825 S. Center blvd., died at 1:50 a.m. Monday in Mercy Medical Center.
She was born Aug. 8, 1892, in Portsmouth, the daughter of Charles and mary Mershon Hill.
Survivors include five sons, Virgil M. of Springfield, Walter of San Fransicso, Calif., Dale of Tiffin, Frank S. of Xenia, and Billy of Wisconsin; four daughters, Mrs. Katherine Wikoff, Mrs. Rosalie Landess and Mrs. Essie Mae Tritle of Springfield, and Mrs. Ferne Sammons of Dayton; 21 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Charles of St. Paris, Hugh of Columbus, and Carl of Portsmouth; five sisters, Mrs. Essie Hinze of Portsmouth, Mrs. Lida Mault, Mrs. Opal Brown, and Mrs. Mary Pelfrey of Springfield, Mrs. Edna Hood of Flatrock, Mich., and severl nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William in 1969 and a son Forest L. in May 1972.
Her body was taken to the Jackson, Lytle and Coffman Funeral Home where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Central Christian Chruch in charge of the Rev. Chalmers Mattern. Her body will lie in state in the church one hour prior to the services.
Contributions may be made to the Philathea Class Scholar-Fund of Central Christian Church.
Burial will be in the Rushtown Cemetery.
