TRITLE, Essie Mae 80, of Springfield, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, June 17, 2013, in the Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born December 3, 1932 in Portsmouth, OH, the daughter of William and Nell (Hill) George. Essie was the last of 13 siblings; she retired as a clerk from Ontario Department Store and was a member of Central Christian Church. She loved playing golf, square dancing and was a member of the Cardinal Squares square dancing club. Essie thought of others before herself in every aspect of life. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Richard in 1996; 12 brothers and sisters. Survivors include her three children Sheilah (Steve) Ruef of Enon, Marc (Sandra) Tritle and Susan (Tom) Johnson of Springfield; grandchildren Teleah Chadwell, Dustin Tritle, Travis and Kayla Johnson and Tristen Ruef; great-grandchildren Garrett, Grace and Linley Chadwell, Nolan Tritle and a precious one on the way. A funeral service to honor Essie will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM in the Chapel at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with visitation beginning at 1:30 PM in the Chapel.
