MARY C. PELFREY
88, of 1209 Kinsman, passed away at 5:10 a.m. Monday, November 6, 1989 in Ridgewood Nursing Home following two weeks of failing health. She was born in Portsmouth, Ohio on April 8, 1901 the daughter of Charles W. and Mary C. (Mershon) Hill. She was a member of the Maiden Lane Church of God. Survivors include two sisters, Lida Mault of Springfield and Edna Hood of Flat Rock, Michigan; a number of nieces and nephews, including a nephew, Robert Brown of Springfield. She was preceded in death by her husband, John James Pelfrey in January 1989, along with five brothers and nine sisters. Her body was taken to the Conroy Funeral home. There will be no visitation, Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Ferncliff Cemetery with Rev. Ralph Hatch officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Maiden Lane Church of God.
