William Steelie Braddy, age 86, Route 2, Soperton, died in a Treutlen Nursing Home Tuesday afternoon, April 25, 1995.

Mr. Braddy was a native of Montgomery County and was a son of the late Henry A. Braddy and the late Mrs. Stella Collins Braddy. He was a retired farmer and a member of Tarrytown Baptist Church. He was married to the late Mrs. Wilma Eudine Beaty Braddy.

Survivors include two sons, Bob Braddy and Billy Braddy of Soperton; six daughters, Mrs. Janis Talley of Lyons, Mrs. Dana O'Grady of Green Cove Springs, Florida, Mrs. Patti Davis of Soperton, Mrs. Melanie Salida of Dothan, Alabama, Mrs. Sonja Spivey of Soperton, and Mrs. Marilyn Coker of Greenville, Alabama; two sisters, Mrs. Thelma Hale of Jacksonville, Florida and Ms. Claudean Braddy of Warner Robins; three brothers, Van Braddy of Mt. Vernon, M.A. Braddy and Julian Braddy of Soperton; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Braddy were held in the Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home in Soperton at 4 o'clock Thursday afternoon, April 27, 1995 with the Rev. Jeff Rollins and the Rev. Andy Cook officiating. Burial was in the Braddy Cemetery in Montgomery County.

Pallbearers were grandsons, Mitch Braddy, Scott Braddy, Brad Braddy, Shane Davis, Steven Wells, Michael Evans, Jason Baker and Stacey Spivey. Sammons Funeral Home, Inc. of Soperton, Georgia was in charge of arrangements.
