Mrs. Stella C. Braddy, 86, Tarrytown, died in a Macon hospital Monday, July 31, 1972.

Mrs. Braddy was a lifetime resident of Montgomery County and was a daughter of the late Sikes Collins and the late Mrs. Mary Ann Elizabeth Adams Collins. She was married to the late Henry A. Braddy and was a member of the Vidalia Primitive Baptist Church.

Survivors include five sons, Steelie Braddy, M.A. Braddy and Julian Braddy, Soperton, Cecil Braddy and Van Braddy, Mt. Vernon; three daughters, Mrs. Atlas Gillis and Ms. Claudean Braddy, Soperton, Mrs. Thelma Hale, Jacksonville, Fla.; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Letitia Braddy, Soperton; one sister, Mrs. Sophronia Collins, Tarrytown; one brother, C.H. Collins, Tarrytown; 34 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted from Tarrytown Baptist Church at 4 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, August 1, with Elder Manning Temple officiating. Burial was in the Braddy Cemetery with Sammons Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were grandsons: Billy Braddy, Bud Gillis, Pete Braddy, Wallace Braddy, Drexel Braddy, Gary Braddy, Wayne Braddy, and great-grandson, Louis Adams Jr.
