The native of Treutlen County was a son of the late Steelie and Wilma Braddy. He was employed with Southeast Paper Company, Dublin and was a member of the First Baptist Church, Soperton, Georgia.
Survivors include his wife, Jackie Braddy, Tarrytown; two sons and daughter-in-law, Scott and Donna Braddy, McDonough, and Brad Braddy, Tarrytown; one daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Jim Welch, Vidalia; six sisters, Janis Talley, Lyons, Dana O'Grady, Hendersonville, North Carolina, Patti Davis, Tarrytown, Sonja Spivey, Soperton, Melanie Saliba, Dothan, Alabama and Marilyn Coker, Greenville, Alabama; one brother, Bob Braddy, Soperton; and three grandchildren, Stephen Welch, Tyler Welch and Chelsea Braddy.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Sammons Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 13, 1999 with the Reverend Robert Wigley and the Reverend Rick Toburin officiating. Interment will follow in Tarrytown Cemetery.
