Homer Hazzard Barnes was born in 1908 as the third child and first surviving son of Jesse Barnes and Lillie Pearl (Hazzard) Barnes. He was a long time Chief Engineer for Humble Pipeline and a member of Big Lake Masonic Lodge. Homer served in WWII along with many of his brothers and in 1931, he married his lovely wife Lola Redden. Together they had five children. Two boys and three girls. At his death, Homer also had seventeen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
