Lou Meekins was born on December 6, 1892 in Toano, Powhatan, James City County, Virginia. She was the fifth child born to Jefferson and Alice Meekins, Sr. She was also born on the very same day as her sister Hattie exactly one year later.

Although this spelling for "Lou" would make you think that this person was a male but... it's not because this Lou is a female. I was unable to locate any other documents or records for her after 1909 when she was seventeen years of age. Lou's date of death, cause of death and place of death are all unknown. She is buried in Chickahominy Baptist Church Cemetery.
