Pauline Titus King of San Antonio, Texas, formerly of Irving, Texas, passed away Monday evening December 14, 2015, at the age of 105.

Pauline was born in Woodson, Texas on August 12, 1910, to Beulah and Elmer Titus, she graduated from Greenville High School and attended East Texas State College. She had a long career in education and was devoted to all who were lucky enough to have her for their teacher. She married John Thomas King on May 6, 1933, and together they raised four children in Hunt County and Irving, Texas.

Pauline was a long and dedicated member of First Baptist Church of Irving, serving as a Sunday school teacher, member of the prayer chain and Pauline was the first volunteer/worker in a ministry for homebound members of First Baptist Irving, serving faithfully until she could no longer do so. Pauline's life was devoted to her Lord and Savior and to her family, church, students and friends. If she knew you, she prayed for you.

Pauline is survived by her four children: Lt. Col. Thomas King and wife, Glenda, of Mabank, Texas; Martha Reynolds of Arlington, Texas; Veta Trahan and husband, Jerry Trahan, of Tomball, Texas; and Glenda Haynes and husband, Thomas Haynes, of Boerne, Texas; nine grandchildren: Thomas Glen (Sam) King of San Antonio, Texas; Maj. John Thomas King and wife, Wanda, of Boerne, Texas; Paul David Reynolds and wife, Delia, of Omaha, Nebraska; John Reynolds of Burleson, Texas; Rebecca Reynolds Dixon of Las Vegas, Nevada; Tina Reynolds Tahari and husband, Sadegh Tahari, of Arlington, Texas; Lara Trahan Wilkes and husband, Lyman Wilkes, of Tomball, Texas; Mary Trahan Chancey and husband, Aaron Chancey, of Hoschton, Georgia; and Lt. Col. Daniel Robert Haynes of Boerne, Texas; 19 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; and one nephew, Dr. Larry Lacy and wife, Laurel, of Austin, Texas.

Pauline was preceded in death by her beloved parents and husband; two sisters, Annabelle Titus and Jennie Titus Lacy; two brothers, Elmer Titus and Millard Titus and son-in-law Paul Reynolds. The family will receive guests during visitation at First Baptist Irving at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 19th, and the funeral immediately following at 12 noon at First Baptist Irving. Burial will follow at Webb Hill Cemetery in Hunt County, Texas, which is the resting place of her husband and many of her relatives.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to the Homebound Ministry at First Baptist Church, 403 S. Main Street, Irving, Texas, 75060. Arrangements are under the direction of Donnelly’s Colonial Funeral Home, 606 W. Airport Freeway in Irving.
