Millard C. Titus

Millard C. Titus, 92, of Greenville, died Thursday, August 12, 2004 at Greencrest Manor. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 14th at Coker-Mathews Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Rose and Rev. Bill Reisor officiating. Burial will be at Webb Hill Cemetery.

Son of John Elmer and Beulah Shanks Titus, he was born January 25, 1912 in Greenville. On February 25, 1956, he married Agie L. Shepard in Chico County, Arkansas; she preceded him in death. On June 30, 1990, he and Willie Cleek Ragsdale were married in Greenville. Mr. Titus served in the U. S. Army in England during World War II in the Army Air Corps. He was a farmer and was a member of Dixon Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Willie C. Titus of Greenville; two sisters, Jennie Lacy of Austin and Pauline King of Irving and six nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife on November 19, 1988; a brother, Elmer Titus; and sister Annabelle Titus.

Pallbearers include Gerald Lacy, Larry Lacy, Tom Haynes, Dan Haynes and Lyman Wilkes.

Memorials may be made to a church of choice.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, August 13th at the funeral home.
