Mr. Richard W. Wicker of Lyons, formerly of this city, died in Savannah, on Monday night. Mr. Wicker sank under an operation of lithotomy, and his death was unexpected. His friends here were much surprised, not knowing that he was so seriously afflicted. Richard was the son of Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Wicker of this city, growing up here, he leaves many relatives and friends who learn of his death with sorrow. Funeral services were held at the Baptist church on yesterday morning, conducted by Dr. T.J. Beck, after which the body was consigned to the city cemetery.
