Miss Julia Wicker Died Last Friday
Miss Julia Wicker passed away last Friday at Rawlings Sanitarium, where she had been under treatment for several months. She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John B. Wicker who made their home in south Sandersville for nearly half a century, and was one of the best beloved ladies. She had been engaged in the hotel business at different places until her health failed and during that time had been a frequent visitor to Sandersville relatives and friends. She is survived by the following sisters: Mrs. J.G. Tyler, Mrs. G.W.Stubbs, Mrs. W.O. Donovan, Sr., Miss Annie Wicker, and three brothers, Mr. Thomas A Wicker, Mrs. George W. Wicker and Mr. Lee W. Wicker.
The funeral services were conducted at the Sandersville Baptist church Sunday afternoon by Revs. C.C. Davison and John H. Allen. The pallbearers were Messrs. Newman Wood, Geo. C. Evans, C.B. Cooley, Dr. Fred B. Rawlings, Dr. A.J. Irwin and G.S. Chapman. The burial took place in the family lot in the city cemetery.
