Mary Jean Knisley, 84, of Wilmington died Tuedsay afternoom at her residence after a brief illness, She is survived by her busband Vernon R. Knisley. They were married March 14, 1947 in Kentland, Ind. and were married for 63 years. Mrs. Knisley was born Aug 24, 1926, in Wadena, Minn. daughter of the late Peter and Gertrude Schmitz Gaul. She was a member of the St Columbkille Catholic Church and Sacred Heart Sodality of the church.

In additon to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Linda Knisley of Wilmington, Jean (Richard) Schmidt of Knoxville, Tenn., and Tina Knisley of New Freedom, Pa.; Six grandchildren, Jennifer Ball, Jacqueline Furguson, Jandi Wilt, Patricia Schmidt, Joseph Schmidt and Mark Knisley; Seven great grandchildren, a step great grandchild; a sister Catherine Meech of Hudson, Wis.; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Marie Wilt; four brothers and six sisters.

Prayers will be said 10 a.m. Saturday at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 W. Locust St. at North Mulberry Street, WIlmington followed by Maas of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Columbkille Catholic Church, 73 N. Mulberry St. Wilimngton, the Rev. James M Wedig officiating with burial to be held at the family's convenience at a later date in the East Cemetery, Latham.
