Funeral services for Helen M. Hoffman, 59, were held Tuesday, April 5 at St Michael's Catholic Church. She died April 2 at St Francis Hospital, Shakopee.
Rev. Gilbert DeSutter officiated the 11 a.m. church service. Interment was at St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery. The wake and reviewal were held April 4 at the Ballard-Busse Funeral Chapel, Prior Lake.
Pallbearers included Glenn and Loyal Meech, Charles and John Painter, Dwight Dupey and Bud Gaul.
Born Sep 2, 1923 in Wadena, Minn. she was the daughter of Peter and Gertrude (Schmitz) Gaul. On July 2, 1945 she was married to Joseph R. Hoffman in Verndale, Minn.
She is survived by her husband Joseph; two sons Joseph of Eagan and Richard of Prior Lake; three daughters, Mrs. Donald (Shirley) Guertin of Apple Valley, Mrs. John (Margaret) Clipson of San Diego, Calif. and Mrs. George (Barbara) Heimerl of Anchorage, Alaska; one brother Andrew Gaul, St Paul; four sisters Mrs. Catherine Meech of Lake Elmo, Mrs. Mary Jean Knisley of Wilmington, Ohio, Mrs. Margaret Jordan of St. Paul, and Mrs. Susan Muse, Oregon; and 12 grandchildren.
She had attended schools in Verndale, Minn. and was a housewife and mother.
