Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hi, my name is Amy and I'm an extremely blessed wife and mom living in the great city of Medina, Ohio. My favorite hobbies are reading, genealogy, photography and visiting cemeteries.

I take several random headstone photographs when visiting a cemetery, and I do my best to create a detailed memorial if one has not already been created. If I've added a memorial for someone that you care about, please contact me and I'll be happy to transfer their memorial to you.

You're welcome to repost any headstone photographs I've taken - it's appreciated if credit is given, but it's certainly not necessary.

In my own family research, I'm particularly interested in the Harnett and Froelich families of Cuyahoga County, the Schilling family of Lorain County, and the Van Hyning family of Summit County.

If you have the time to visit:

My beautiful Mom
My dear aunt Jackie
My beloved father-in-law Ron
My grandparents Rollie and Jean
My grandparents Ken and Flo
My cherished cats Sofie, Penny and Toby

I appreciate your flowers and kind words.

Thank you!
Amy -

Just a moment to say thanks for setting up such a sad little memory for those of us who just missed our loved ones.

My Granddad died 4 months before I was born, so I have his name but never knew him. His brother (and his wife) are included here, and my beloved Gran followed her husband 44 years later, and she is also included in your listings.

My Granddad and his brother were both artists of some small local renown, and I have expected, over the years, that I would have encountered some sign of their live presence. Unfortunately, after so many years (50+) there is little to be known of someone from that era unless their infamy preceded them. My Granddad was a photographer and a photo colorist and inventor, so I do remember a cache of family pics (that likely now belong to my uncle, or his sons, with whom I am close), but it just isn't the same not having my own precious memories of the man for whom I am named. But, this is enough for noe, and I am grateful for your effort to keep their memories alive this way.

You've done such a nice thing, and I can't thank you enough for your time and effort. I will be sure to link up the family members and, although I do not currently participate in Ancestry or other like websites, I will share the links here with my cousins and and other descendants and loved ones of my grandparents and their extended families. My sister has no children and this will be a nice link to give my sons, who knew and loved my Gran, and will be happy to know anything they can of their great-grandpa.

Thank you for remembering the people I feared had been forgotten and that I still miss much too often. :::hugs:::

Warmest regards,
C. Carter

Memorial 115620039
Hi ~ wanted to let you know that Lucinda Baker (and most likely her husband, Orrin) are actually buried in Mount Peace Cemetery after all. According to the Special Collections Dept. of the Akron-Summit Co. Public Library, she is buried in Section 9, Lot 51. My theory is that Lucinda (and Orrin) are physically buried in Mount Peace Cemetery (as their death certificates state), but their names were added to their daughter's gravestone (honorary). This sort of thing is not uncommon, but it certainly does add confusion. One of my great-grandmothers is listed on 2 different gravestones ~ one in Canada, with her parents, where she was born & the other on her gravestone in Indiana with her husband, where she is actually buried. Just thought I'd tell you in case you noticed that she now has 2 memorials. I'll link her to her husband's memorial in Mount Peace Cemetery, if it is still there. Thank you & best regards.
