Married to Lora Damon Morrison in Clovis New Mexico 1936. They had five children: Keith Wayne 1936, Wanda Jean 1938, Anita Kay 1942, Nancy Louise 1944, Myra Joyce 1945. was know as Red McCrary and was a building contractor building many homes and business building in Portales, Clovis, Alamogordo, and Las Cruces. He graduated from High School in San Jon, New Mexico and Eastern New Mexico Normal School 1934-1936 (now ENMU) in Portales, NM. He was a member of First Baptist Church Portales, NM. In the 1950s he served as the association president of the Baptist Brotherhood.
