Services for G. P. McCrary of Hobbs will be held at 10 am Thursday, May 23, 2002 at Taylor Street Church of Christ with Eli Borden officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. McCrary, 84 died Sunday, May 19, at Covenant Lakeside Hospital in Lubbock. He was born June 20, 1917, in Norton.
He married Bea McCrary on Nov. 4, 1947, in Fort Sumner.
Mr. MoCrary moved to Hobbs in 1948. He was an active member of Taylor Street Church of Christ. He and Bea had been married for 54 years.
Survivors include his wife of the home, two sons, Bryan McCrary of Hawley, Texas and Gerald Owens of Amarillo, one daughter, Kathy Rasmussen of Dallas; one brother, Ralph McCrary of Littleton, Colo.;two grandchildren, one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Hattie Mae McCrary; five sisters and three brothers.
