H. Austin (Flick) Scott, 58, of Rogersville, died at 3 p. m. Thursday, Feb. 10, 1966, at his home following a lingering illness.
He was born Oct. 28, 1907, at Waynesburg, a son of the late Ross and Harriet McNeely Scott, and spent most of his life in the Rogersville area.
June 22, 1927, he married Pauline Rose, who survives.
Mr. Scott was a member of the Rogersville Christian Church. He was employed by the National Transit Company for 30 years and at the time of his retirement due to disability he was a foreman with the company.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons, John W., of Rogersville, and Thomas R., of Greensburg; two daughters, Bonna Jo, wife of Paul Crouse of Rogersville, and Patsy Ruth, wife of Thomas McHenry, of Westchester; six grandchildren; three sisters, Mary, wife of Cook (sic) Stephenson, and Margaret, wife of Ewing Gordon, both of Waynesburg, and Myrene, wife of Clyde Crislip of Fairmont, W. Va.; and three brothers, J. Freemont (sic) and Russell Scott, of Waynesburg, and John Scott, of Lansing, Mich.
One sister, Mildred, and one brother, Raymond, are deceased.
SCOTT - Friends of H. Austin (Flick) Scott, of Rogersville, who died Thursday, Feb. 10, 1966, will be received after 7 p.m. Friday in the Robert L. Lantz Funeral Home, Rogersville, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday with Rev. Donald Wilson and Rev. John Surgenor Jr. officiating. Burial in Rosemont Cemetery.
