F. Raymond Scott, 52, of Race St, died Sunday, July 13, 1958 in Greene County Memorial Hospital a few hours after he was admitted due to a heart attack. A son of Adam Ross and Harriet McNeely Scott, he was born September 3, 1905 in Greene County. Employed by Hoge's Bakery since 1942, member of First Christian Church where he was an elder and member of the choir. Member of Waynesburg Borough Council and former president of Waynesburg civil defense council. Survived by his wife, Mrs Virginia Hoge Scott; one son, William Ross Scott of Jeannette, a former Waynesburg High School and College star athlete; one granddaughter, Janet Leigh Scott and one grandson, William Raymond Scott both of Jeannette; four sisters, Mary wife of Cooke Stephenson of Waynesburg RD 2, Margaret wife of Ewing Gordon of Murraysville, Mildred wife of William Moore of Philadelphia, Myrenne wife of Clyde Crislip of Fairmount WV; four brothers, Fremont and Russell of Greensboro Star Route, Waynesburg, John of Lansing Mich., Austin Scott of Rogersville; one aunt, Mrs William Hamilton wife of Rev M. Hamilton of Braddock. Preceded in death by a brother, Albert. Funeral Wednesday at the Church-Mariner Funeral Home, Rev Earl B. King officiating. Burial in Greene County Memorial Park.
