Lewis Russell Scott, 82, of 110 Thompson Gardens, Waynesburg, died at 4:40 p.m. Wednesday, October 17, 1984, in Greene County Memorial Hospital. Although in declining health, his death was unexpected.

He was born November 2, 1901, in Franklin Township, son of Adam Ross Scott and Harriett McNeely Scott. His wife, Mary Morris Scott, whom he married May 21, 1925, died September 4, 1982.

Mr. Scott had lived most of his life in Franklin Township. He had resided in Waynesburg since 1964. He was a retired employee of Equitable Gas Co. and had been a road supervisor Franklin Township.

Mr. Scott was a member of Oak View United Methodist Church, Waynesburg.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. John (Mary Louise) Rice of Waynesburg, Mrs. Jeffrey (Peggy) Parsons of Dover, Mass., and Mrs. John (Carol) Kroll of Valencia; three sons, Stanley M. Scott of Ford City, Ray Scott of Waynesburg, and Ross Scott of Charleston W.Va.; 22 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Gordon of Waynesburg R.D.1 and Mrs. Myrene Crislip of Fairmont W.Va.

Two sisters, Mildred Moore and Mary Hohage; and five brothers, Fremont, Raymond, Austin, John and Albert Scott are deceased.

SCOTT - Friends of Lewis Russell Scott of 110 Thompson Gardens, Waynesburg, who died Wednesday, October 17, 1984, will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Behm Funeral Home Inc., 182 West High Street, Waynesburg, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 20, by the Rev. Jack Elder. Interment in Greene County Memorial Park.
