Bert Cooley, 66, of Pine Center, died at St. Joseph's Hospital Thursday.
Mr. Cooley, a farmer and carpenter in the Pine Center community, had lived in the community for 40 years. At the time of his death he was serving on the town board.
He was born Nov 30, 1884 in Lennox, SD. Mr. Cooley was married to Bertha Edna Austin on Aug 31, 1903, in Saint Paul Park. His wife preceeded him in death in 1932.
Mr. Cooley was a deacon in the Pentecostal church in Pine Center.
Surviving are seven sons, Lyman, Lesley, Berton, Lyle, Lloyd, Robert and Wallace, all of Pine Center, three daughters, Mildred and Myrtle, Pine Center; Mrs. Ruby Auge, St. Paul; a brother Fay, Williston, ND; a sister Mrs. Nellie Perry, Denver, Colorado, and 11 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Halvorson funeral home in Brainerd, the Rev. Arvid Kingsritter, Little Falls, officiating.
Friends may call at the Halvorson funeral home until the time of service.

Grandma & Grandpa's graves were unmarked for a long time, their headstone was purchased years after their deaths by their son, Berton.
