Daughter of Anders Anderson and Lena Stina Olofsdotter.

Augusta Andersdotter was born in Habo, Björkäng Parish, Skaraborg Co., Sweden; born October 28, 1858, according to parish records.

Married to Axel Enberg in 1880, they and their son Gereon emigrated to the United States in October 1881. Augusta's sister Emma and Emma's 3-month old son, Gustaf, traveled with them. They lived in Brainerd, Crow Wing Co., for two years, then settled on a farm at Farm Island Twp., four and one-half miles south of Aitkin, Aitkin Co., and were blessed with more children, raising their family here.

The Enberg family was very involved in Maria Chapel, rural Aitkin Co., Minnesota. Many of the family members are buried here in the cemetery adjoing the chapel.

Axel preceded her in death, 1925. In 1930 she moved into west Aitkin, where she lived with her daughter Esther and son Axel until her death.

Her parents and all her siblings except her brother August Andersson preceded her in death. August had remained in Sweden, and passed away in Sunds Bruk on October 19, 1942.
